About
Can You Make Change? aims to inspire young people to continue creating media with the spirit of change. As we celebrate our first black president, a monumental change in US politics, we continue to ask each American citizen,
Can You Make Change?
How can you preserve this spirit of change beyond the 2008 election? Are you just going to sit back and wait for Obama to make all the changes?
Trevor Parham
Trevor Parham is an artist, educator, and innovator. He is the principal and founder of Eklectyk Creative Media, a media production company dedicated to creating meaningful media and empowering independent artists. Trevor directed/produced the We Need A President music video and wrote/produced the Revolution music video. These music videos have multiple prestigious awards for their ability to inspire change in young people. Trevor also works directly with young people, teaching media production and media literacy to high school students of color in the San Francisco Bay Area as part of the SMASH Academy. His SMASH Video students have created a host of compelling documentaries and PSAs about the experiences they face as underrepresented students of color. With the success of his media classes and the success of the two award-winning Napalm Clique music video projects, Trevor created this website (and the new $25 dollar Obama bill) to continue spreading the spirit of change through media.
